During the early morning, an Indian thick-knee bird injured in road accident. Some locals saw this, it was rescued and treatment was done at the district veterinary hospital by providing stitches and ointments to the wounds on the wing. Later it was released into its natural habitat.

Indian thick-knee (Burhinus indicus) is a nocturnal bird, found in the stony scrubs and dry deciduous areas.

Feeling is beyond words. Many emotions at the same time. I can feel it. Bird is very calm in my hands, and some relief is there from pain now after treatment.

Nature is everything. Every creature is wise and beautiful. We should be compassionate towards all living beings and never challenge nature. We human beings are not above mother nature, we are just a small part of it. If you find any birds or animals in similar difficult situations, try your best to rescue them. Inform the enforcement departments, like forests or police, so that they can give immediate help. Please share your thoughts on this.
